Democratic MP, Flamur Noka, declared that the electoral process for the new leaders of DP’s district branches won’t be stopped.
During a press conference from DP’s headquarters, Noka said that this process was started by the Refoundation Commission and that it was confirmed by the results of the local by-elections on March 6.
“The process started months ago, since the party’s Congress on December 11 and it was confirmed by all Democrats on March 6 – that is why it won’t be stopped. We welcome all those who want to become part of this process, but we won’t allow anyone to obstruct it due to the fear that Basha and Alibeaj don’t have enough votes from Democrats,” – said Noka.
Noka also underlined that through the various auditing groups, we can verify whether or not each electoral procedure has been conducted according to the statute adopted on December 11.
The Refoundation Commission will be holding its elections today and tomorrow for the new district leader in 70% of its branches.
So far, elections have been held in Fier, Mallakaster, Roskovec, Fushe-Kruje and Selenica. The process will close on April 20.
