Renowned Albanian journalist Ilva Tare is now part of the European Center at the Atlantic Council in Washington DC.

The former head of news at Euronews Albania, who had moved to the United States just a few months ago, shared the good news on her social media account.

Tare expressed her excitement in joining the team of experts and reporters in Washington DC, while confirming that she will soon launch a completely new series dedicated to the Balkan region titled Balkans Debrief.

“A household name in her native Albania, she has vast experience in the Western Balkans and a track record of unbiased reporting and trustworthy analysis. Tare has covered politics, EU integration, human rights, the judiciary and anti-corruption efforts. In her wide-ranging interviews, Tare has raised visibility about gender and minorities issues, the effects of disinformation, and the labor rights of journalists. Promoted to leadership positions in newsrooms early in her career, she is a longtime and keen promoter of young journalists,” – wrote the Atlantic Council in their briefing on Tare.
