Former DP chair Lulzim Basha came out with a statement against SP’s decision to not oust Ornaldo Rakipi.

According to Basha, Rama is defending those who have been declared non-grata amongst his ranks, because these individuals are those who helped him stay in power.

“Without them, he can’t conduct his affairs like the incinerator affair; without them, he can’t use the public administration as his own property; without them, he can’t distribute the state budget according to the insatiable appetites of his partners, who he uses to destroy electoral processes,” – wrote Basha in a Facebook status.

The former DP chair accused Aqif Rakipi of buying votes for Rama during the last elections on April 25.

Ornaldo Rakipi is part of SP’s parliamentary group, whereas his father, the former MP of PDIU was declared non-grata by the United States on April 11, after being accused of being a “serious threat to regional stability and democracy”.
