Belinda Balluku took a harsh stance against the opposition on Thursday, accusing it of destroying the electric power system in Albania.

The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy said that when the Democrats were in power they privatized the four main hydropower plants in the country, Bistrica 1 and 2, Ulza, and Shkopet.

“Start reflecting, work for our people, and drop the nonsense”, said Balluku.

Minister Balluku said that the transparent system of the current government helped attract foreign investors, whereas when the DP was in power they were afraid to come to Albania as they would ‘be pickpocketed upon landing at the airport’.
