According to attorney Spartak Ngjela, Judge Agron Zhukri, who recognized that statute adopted by DP’s December 11 Assembly, should go to prison on criminal charges.

During an interview for Euronews Albania, Ngjela said that his decision is invalid because the Re-foundation Commission isn’t an entity that is recognized by the Court.

“The judge should go to court for committing a criminal act. His decision is absolutely invalid. It isn’t a juridical subject. The judicial subject that has been recognized by the courts for the past 30 years is called the Democratic Party,” – said Ngjela.

According to the attorney, the appeal made by the head of DP’s parliamentary group Enkelejd Alibeaj is legitimate because the DP is a juridical subject recognized by the court.

On March 25, Judge Agron Zhukri recognized the Statute that was adopted by an Assembly called by former PM Sali Berisha on December 11, 2021.

Meanwhile, Judge Blerina Muca returned the case for retrial earlier today and it will now be reassessed by the Court of Appeals.
