Viktor Duro was voted on Saturday as the new leader of the Democratic Party’s branch in Kolonja.

Duro won 224 votes against the other contender Esmeraldo Kasolli, who only secured 140 votes.

The new leader of the DP in Kolonja comes from Berisha’s camp, and earlier on he has been discharged by former chairman Lulzim Basha.

In 2015, Duro competed in the mayoral race in Kolonja.
