Thousands of Orthodox Christians celebrated Easter at midnight at the Cathedral Square in Korca, in remembrance of Jesus Christ’s resurrection.
During the mass led by Imzot Joan Pelushi, the focal point was prosperity. To believers, this is a special day, especially since this was the first time in 2 years that they had the chance to gather in such large numbers, due to the pandemic.
Hundreds of Orthodox Christians gathered to celebrate in the Holy Mass of the St. Theodor Church in Vlore.
Father Konstandin Prifti led the mass and wished everyone a Happy Easter.
Easter symbolized the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the most important day in the orthodox religious calendar and its message is the victory of life over death, light over darkness and love over hate.
