Prime Minister Edi Rama ruled out allegations that the Socialists will propose the Prime Ministry’s Chief of Cabinet as the future president.
Rama said during a press conference on Monday that the process has always attracted attention, and triggered false claims.
“I’ve said since in the beginning that this process stimulates gossip and that all sorts of names are thrown around, sometimes without their willingness. My answer is negative as there is nothing truthful about it”, the prime minister stated.
It was former PM Sali Berisha the first to claim that Bizhga was the name set forth by the Socialists.
According to Berisha, Rama’s main scope is finding someone who will be willing to step down when he wants to become president.
