Kosovo’s president Vjosa Osmani and PM Albin Kurti are heading to the United States this Tuesday to participate in a mortuary ceremony of former US secretary of state, Madeleine Albright.

Both Kurti and Osmani will be participating in these rituals following an invitation from Albright’s family, after which they will participate in several other meetings.

Former US Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, passed away at the age of 84 on March 23, 2022.

Albright serves as Secretary of State from 1997-2001.

She lobbied for NATO’s eastern expansion in the former Soviet block and helped in NATO’s airstrike attack against Serbia’s ethnic cleansing operation in Kosovo during the 1999 war.
