The high official of the US Department of State Karen Donfried will be visiting Albania on April 28.

Donfried is expected to conduct a meeting with PM Edi Rama during her stay in Tirana.

In the official agenda of the US official, she’s also planned a meeting with the head of DP’s parliamentary group, Enkelejd Alibeaj.

DP’s deputy chair Jorida Tabaku will also attend the meeting.

Through their chief diplomat in our country, ambassador Yuri Kim, United States authorities, have often expressed their liking for Alibeaj to become the Democratic Party’s new chair, to replace Lulzim Basha.

At the same time, they’ve just as openly expressed their refusal for DP’s former chair Sali Berisha to take his place, especially after Berisha’s public designation by the United States, around 1 year ago.
