Analyst Baton Haxhiu said during tonight’s ‘Shock’ that the petition against the US ambassador to Albania, Yuri Kim, is a “democratic laziness”.

Haxhiu argued that this action is ‘radical’ while adding that US politics isn’t based on a specific individual that represents them at a given point in time but is rather a product of continuity.

However, according to analyst Andi Bushati it is unacceptable for the US ambassador to intervene in the decisions made by the Albanian judicial system.

Bushati referred to the intervention of the ambassador in regards to what’s happening with the Democratic Party, as well as in the case of US businesses operating in Albania.

In addition, he called these interferences ‘scandalous’ while adding that in a democracy, no ambassador should be able to make judicial decisions or decide who should be the one to lead a political party.
