The National Assembly of the Democratic Party will convene this Saturday called by the Refoundation Commission.
Euronews Albania journalist Ardit Hoxha reports that the first decision to be taken up for assessment and passed by the members of the Assembly are statute changes that were previously approved on December 11.
The amendments seek to establish DP’s parliamentarians and new branch leaders as members of the National Council.

According to these changes, ex-officio position in the National Council of the Democratic Party will also be given to former senior leaders in state institutions, who have been important figures in the DP.
Among others, members will vote for the date of leadership elections. The Refoundation Commission has recommended holding the elections on May 11 or 22.
