The last call to enroll as a candidate in the upcoming elections for the leadership of the Democratic Party is May 7 (12 PM), as announced by the Organization and Control Commission on Electoral Operations.
In a press statement released on Tuesday, the organ noted that all paperwork must be submitted to its headquarters and must contain a CV, a handwritten motivation letter, and a duly completed form on the cleanliness of the figure of a potential candidate.
The date for DP’s leadership election was set at the National Assembly held on April 30.
35 MPs from the party’s parliamentary group refused to attend the Assembly.
So far, former PM and co-founder of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha is the only one who has announced that he will run for the party’s chair.
