The head of archeological research, Belisa Muka, has refused to answer a question about the role that the institution she directs should play when it comes to reaching an agreement regarding the management of the Butrint Park.
During a live interview on Euronews Albania’s ‘Today, Muka was asked whether or not this agreement would disrupt the work of the Institution of Archeology and what has been preventing this institution so far, to carry out excavations on this site.
Before refusing to answer, Muka made a long parenthesis about the different hierarchical levels of this institution and the different functions but she never got to answer the question asked by Today host, Jonida Shehu.
After being asked on numerous occasions to keep to the topic, Muka decided to leave the conversation by hanging up the live call.
The National Park of Butrint is expected to be administered by a foundation that will be created with the help of the Albanian government and the Albanian-American Development Fund.
