Candidates who will run in the race for the Democratic Party’s new leader are Sali Berisha and Ibsen Elezi.

This was announced by the Commission of Organization and Control of Electoral Operations.

One day ago, Elezi deposited the documentation at DP’s Electoral Operational Commission.

Ibsen Elezi has also run in the elections for DP’s new leader back in June 2021, but he was disqualified from the race following a decision made by the party’s Leadership Group.

The reason for this disqualification were comments made by him, through which he had “tried to denigrate and hurt the Democratic Party”.

Elections for DP’s new leader are set to take place on May 22.
