The Commission for Economy and Finances held a meeting today, which included a heated debate in regards to the management of the National Park of Butrint.
Democratic MP, Edmond Spaho, criticized the minister of culture, Elva Margariti, for the procedures followed so far on the administration of Butrint by a private foundation.
According to Spaho, the government should be held accountable and answer as to why they needed to hire a private institution to administer the park when the state could have done it themselves.
On the other hand, minister Margariti stated that the National Park of Butrint is public property and it won’t be altered.
She also added that nothing abusive is taking place and that she will be the head of the foundation board.
