The German ambassador to Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, has expressed his support for Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe.

By commanding Kosovo’s application, Rohde stated that Germany cannot wait to see Kosovo in the Council of Europe.

“We cannot wait to see Kosovo become part of the Council of Europe – a family which works together in order to promote human rights, democracy and the rule of law. Kosovo belongs to the Council of Europe. I wish them all the best on the process of becoming member,” – said the German ambassador.

The minister of foreign affairs and the diaspora, Donika Gervalla, submitted Kosovo’s application to join the CoE this Thursday, during an official visit to Strasburg.
