Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met Wednesday with the patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Porfirije.
From the presidential palace, Vucic said Belgrade is currently in a difficult situation.
According to the Serbian head of state, Putin’s comparison of Ukraine and Kosovo has turned the West into convincing the Russian President of the opposite.
“I’ve spoken to many statesmen and all of them admitted to their current difficult position, harder than before the Second World War. We’re doing everything possible to prepare for a similar scenario. We have sufficient energy and gas stocked”, said Vucic.
Vucic added that the West is working hard to resolve the dispute with Kosovo, local media B92 said.
In face of the mounting pressure, Vucic asserted that it will be hard to defend the country’s national interest.
