Analyst Baton Haxhiu stated that the candidatures for president proposed by the opposition will not find the consensus of the Socialist Party.

“I consider it impossible for this list to get clearing from the Socialist Party. Except for Visar Zhiti, none of them could be compatible with SP,” – said Haxhiu, adding that the majority in power won’t be prepared to give consensus to any of these names.

The analyst made another distinction about one of the other proposed candidatures – MP Dashamir Shehi – despite the fact that according to Haxhiu, it will be difficult for the Socialist majority to appoint him president.

“I am sorry to see Dashamir Shehi on this list because he deserves the public’s respect when it comes to his political life,” – said Haxhiu.

According to Haxhiu, the opposition is using a strategy, because by proposing this list of names, it aims to put the blame on the Socialist majority for not being able to reach a broad consensus when it comes to appointing the new president.
