No trials are taking place across the country today.
The reason behind this was the absence during the trials of the cases’ attorneys who have begun their 4-day strike this Tuesday.
Attorneys have openly come out against the recent decision on the new Judicial Map, which includes the disintegration of many district courts.
Starting from 08:00 am this morning, attornies from Kora, Fier, Vlora, Shkoder, Durres, and several other cities have boycotted their court sessions except for the ones relating to issuing important security measures like arrests.
Over 1.000 court sessions have been suspended this Tuesday alone, thus causing complete paralysis of our justice system. The boycott will last until June 17.
