Democrat MP Dashnor Sula called on the government for the indexation of food prices amid unbearable costs for citizens.
Sula walked to the Assembly on Thursday carrying a basket containing various food products and reiterated a call made by the opposition, referring to lowering VAT from 20% to 6%.

“The situation is catastrophic. Citizens must pressure the government for the sole reason to help every household as prices have become unbearable”, Sula said.
“The government has all the means for indexation. We have the case of North Macedonia, which abolished VAT, from 20% to 0%”.
On Wednesday, citizens march across the main boulevard to the Prime Minister’s Office to raise their voices against increased prices.
