The leaders of the Western Balkans will this Thursday and Friday in Ohrid to attend the Prespa Forum Dialogue.
“Shaping Western Balkans Future in the Contemporary European Security Architecture”, is set as this year’s theme.
Kosovo will be represented by President Vjosa Osmani. Among other attendees are the Presidents and Prime Ministers of Slovenia, Serbia, and Montenegro, meanwhile the President or the Prime Minister of Albania will not attend.
Euronews Albania correspondent in Skopje, Benjamin Arifi, said among other important officials attending the forum are the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Gabriel Escobar and President of the European Council Charles Michel.
The EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi will deliver his speech online.
Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelenski is also expected to deliver a video message.
The forum’s agenda includes topics on building peace in Europe, the green agenda, women in governance, and the new generation of the Western Balkans.
The forum marks the four-year anniversary of the Prespa Agreement which resolved a dispute between Greece and North Macedonia related to the latter’s official country name.
