US ambassador Yuri Kim addressed journalists today, in response to PM Edi Rama’s refusal to answer their questions.

During the graduation ceremony of the Laboratory of Investigative Journalism, Kim said that it is the journalists’ job to ask questions and that every single official must respond to them, even if they might not like the question being asked to them.

“It is your professional duty and public service to make questions. It is officials’ duty, whether they like it or not, to answer them. If officials don’t answer your questions, repeat them again and again,” – said the ambassador.
