5 police officers in Kosovo remained injured after a border police car was damaged during an anti-contraband operation in the Jashanica village in Leposavic.

The driver of the truck that was transporting the contraband goods didn’t obey police orders for a check-up and ended up crashing with the police car.

This forced the officers to use their guns, as the truck driver hit the police car a second time during another attempt to get him to stop.

In the end, they were able to stop the truck in the village of Llazhine after which its driver A.D. was arrested.

During the attempt to stop the truck, the police officers were obstructed by 2 other vehicles.

Police were able to stop one of these vehicles, whose driver is suspected of having communicated with the truck driver during the entire operation.
