The Democratic Party leader, Sali Berisha, declared that the opening of negotiations with the European Union is a great achievement for Albanians.
Through a post on his social media account, Berisha said that the region why the EU refused to open negotiations in the last 5 years, is PM Edi Rama’s connection with the crime world in addition to corruption.
In addition, Berisha said that Albania’s failure to deliver on its commitment to fulfill these conditions was the main reason why it was denied the opening of negotiations for so long.
Berisha also highlighted that the Democratic Party will rescue the nation from Edi Rama’s regime while adding that after the right comes to power, the road towards EU integration will be normalized and brought up to speed.
This Tuesday, the first Intergovernmental Conference between Albania and the European Union took place in Brussels, marking the official opening of accession talks.
The opening of accession negotiations will be followed by a technical process that will begin with a thorough examination of the Albanian administration and the entire Albanian legislation so that it can resemble the European Union legislation as closely as possible.
