The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) upheld its previous ruling and decided to leave the Elbasan Judge, Zamira Vyshka, on house arrest.
The judge showed up in court this morning to be informed of her security measure.
She is being accused by SPAK of corruption after allegedly negotiating with family members of an arrested suspect to have his sentence shortened.
The lawyer who negotiated with the Elbasan judge, Ilir Pashaj, was also present in court today and was ordered to be arrested in prison.
According to investigations that started in 2021, the judge initially asked for 2 million ALL, and later brought it up to 4 million.
Xhulio Hyska was the person who paid this sum of money to the judge through family members. He is on trial for injuring someone.
