Political science expert Ermal Hasimja said that there are many theories that are currently circulating regarding Arben Ahmetaj’s dismissal, from SPAK’s accusations all the way to non-grata sanctions.

“There are several theories. There’s SPAK, or there could be a possible move in the non-grata department. They remain to be verified,” – he said.

The truth will be revealed in the days to come, said Hasmija while adding that this move brings nothing new for the government.

PM Edi Rama announced this morning that Belinda Balluku is the newly appointed deputy prime minister.

Meanwhile, Arben Ahmetaj was dismissed as former prime minister and minister of state for reconstruction.

The head of government also announced that Zef Mazi will no longer be chief negotiator and that he will be replaced by Majlinda Dhuka. The latter will also be the new minister of state.
