Head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, warned PM Edi Rama that if he decided to raise electricity prices, he will face mass public revolts.

In a statement from DP’s headquarters, Berisha called on Albanians to join forces and hit back at Rama and his administration.

“If you so much as dare to raise energy prices for regular consumers, you will absolutely face the strongest public revolt the country has ever witnessed. And I’m calling on Albanian citizens, to join us in our preparations to hit back at this man who is ready to do everything against you, if it means enriching himself and his family.

Edi Rama, don’t change the price of energy, or else, the Democratic Party, the Front for Albania’s Rescue, will organize one of the strongest revolts the country has ever seen,” – said Berisha.
