A day after the tragic event where a 7-year-old girl lost her life, Potami beach is empty.
The vacationers left the beach and as a sign of remembrance, they placed flowers and a doll in the tent where the victim’s family was staying.
The serious event happened after noon on Tuesday on the beach of Potami, where a minor child was killed while swimming close to the shore, by a speedboat which was driven by Arjan Tase.
Arjan Tase, former head of the police station of Himara, has been arrested and charged with manslaughter. In his testimony, he clarified that the motor-dinghy he was driving started to suddenly gain speed causing it to make a 360 turn and as a result, he lost control of it.
At that point, he said he hit the 7-year-old girl, who died immediately.
