Many citizens have gathered in front of the Ministry of Interior building, protesting the death of a 7-year-old girl two days ago in Himara, who was hit by a boat.
Some of them have also taken their children with them, to show that this protest is being held in their name.
Many are saying that the state is to blame for the fatal incident and that they are worried about their safety, along with their children’s.
“Exactly for this reason, it seems to us that nothing has changed, since this disaster happened. I experienced it in the worst way possible. It’s clear that this is the state’s fault. Why not take my child with me? They must understand that this is something different.
I have come for that 7-year-old child, I am so sorry. I don’t know what country this is. In the middle of the sand, a boat with two engines emerges out of nowhere. We have come to protest, this is crazy. I don’t believe that there will be any awareness. It is something very serious, I know her family members, they are wise people”, said some protesters to Euronews Albania’s mic.
