The Minister of Agriculture and Water Administration in Montenegro, at the same time, chairman of the People’s Socialist Party, Vladimir Jokovic stated that he has come across reliable information that the government is headed by Dritan Abazovic will be overthrown in the plenum session set to take place on August 19.
While speaking to the Montenegrin National Radio and Television, Jokovic also said that the Democratic Party of Socialists and the Democratic Party of Montenegro have strongly agreed on the issue of overthrowing the present administration.
“My information is very reliable. DPS and Democrats have agreed on everything, it’s up to them. We have completed our political objective in the government and we are patiently awaiting the results of the vote on August 19”, said Jokovic.
Montenegro has entered a new political crisis following an agreement regulating the state’s relations with the Serbian Orthodox Church.
President Milo Djukanovic’s party has stated that the new agreement harms the country’s national interests which is why he will no longer support the Abazovic administration.
