The Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, declared that there cannot be an ethnic association of Serbian municipalities in Kosovo.
During a press conference after the government meeting, Krasniqi said that Kosovo is a multi-ethnic state.
“Kosovo is a multi-ethnic state and there cannot be an ethnic association. Everything that has been built in Kosovo until today was built as a multi-ethnic state”, he emphasized.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Albin Kurti reconfirmed that on September 1, the implementation of two government decisions, for license plates and IDs, will begin.
Kurti underlined that even after this date they will continue the information campaign for car plates.
Due to the government’s decision to reciprocate Serbian license plates and documents, local Serbs in Kosovo on July 31 set up barricades on the roads leading to Jarinje and Bernjak.
At the request of internationals, the government has postponed the implementation of these decisions.
