The chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, declared that in September, when the new parliamentary sessions are set to recommence, this political force will work on creating a technical government.
In a statement to the press, Meta said that the issue of negotiations should be dealt with, because according to him, with the current government, there can be no steps forward in this process.
“Regarding this initiative that Tao Tao said, I have a very serious objection. In September we have other work to do; we will work for a technical government. We have to deal with the issue of negotiations as well, because there is no chance of making any progress with the current administration”, he said.
Meta’s statements have come after the recent issue regarding the decision of the Socialist Party to amend the law on the opening of files of former collaborators of the former secret services during Enver Hoxha’s communist regime, come September.
Meta said that if it was up to him, Parliament can meet today and amend the law on the files as he has personally no issue with it.
Yesterday, the socialist deputy Taulant Balla underlined that the proposals of the files authority to review the certificates of purity that were given by the previous commissions, for politicians who are being suspected of having been past collaborators, will be approved.
