Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku has announced that tomorrow, together with Prime Minister Edi Rama, they will be presenting a package that will be implemented in the following weeks to save energy.
In a statement to the press, she said that so far, no power outages after 10:00 p.m. have been reported, while adding that several drastic measures will be taken in order to save energy.
“It doesn’t seem that there will be any measures that will involve power cuts after 10:00 p.m. After 22:00, public lighting will be required to be turned off. The application of public lighting, commercial units, and everything else take place from 4 pm to 10 pm. Germany started this and other countries are applying it too. It’s an energy-saving package. Regarding the 800 KW/hour band that will be implemented starting from October 1, there will be several other drastic measures too. Tomorrow we will present the new energy-saving package,” said Balluku.
