The US Embassy in Tirana has reacted to the protest that the Freedom Party will organize this evening, at the Sharra landfill in Tirana.

In a press release, the US Embassy warns you not to participate in this gathering.

“While many large events occur peacefully, some situations can arise quickly and unpredictably. Monitor local media and instructions from local law enforcement authorities for the latest information,” the Embassy writes.

At noon today, the chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, invited citizens to the protest that this political force will organize this Tuesday at 18:00 at Tirana’s incinerators.

In a press communication, it is stated that “we must be together today, so that next year, we don’t have to mourn the country’s mass depopulation”.

“It will be the first protest that will be followed by many others. You are starting with the incinerators because that’s where the crime is most flagrant and without a doubt we will continue and target the other crime schemes and the robberies that are being committed as we speak. It will be a peaceful but concrete protest,” said Meta.
