The proposal of the rest of the Democratic Party for the territorial division has been revealed.

Unlike the draft presented by the parliamentary group, the document presented today by Oerd Bylykbashi proposes that the country be divided into 95 municipalities.

As for the regions, this new proposal proposes the idea of dividing the country into 5 main regions.

Of the 61 municipalities that are currently in place, this draft proposes to add another 34. But not all of these 95 municipalities will have the same roles, as only 50% of them will have a central role and full powers, while the other half will have limited powers.

Thus, according to this document, Vlora from the existing 7, would have 11 municipalities where Orikumi, Novosela, Amantia and Ksamili would be added.

Korca would have 10 municipalities from the existing 6, where Leskoviku, Vithkuqi, Voskopoja and Pojani would be added. Two municipalities would be added to Berat, Shpiragu and Otllaku. Golemi, Ardenica, Levani, Cakrani and Fratari would be added to Fier.

Shpati and Bradasheshi and Pajova would be added to Elbasan. Bicaj and Shishtaveci added to Kukes. 2 municipalities are added in Durrës, Sukthi and Fushë Kruja. Bregu i Mates, Oroshi, Zadrima and Mamurras are added to Lezhë. 3 municipalities are added in Diber, Maqellara, Arras and Kastrioti.

In addition, 4 municipalities would be added to Tirana, Ndroqi, Petrela, Kryevidhi and Dajti.

In this proposal, the only counties where the local units do not change are Gjirokastra and Shkodra, which remain with 7 and 5 municipalities, respectively.
