In 2021, the prosecution registered 171 criminal proceedings more than in 2020 for the criminal offense of illegal construction.

Tirana, followed by Vlora and Kukes are the district where the most investigations for illegal construction have been carried out.

76% of the defendants were male while 24% were female.
