Belind Kellici was elected MP of the Democratic Party for the District of Tirana after the general elections of 2021 and has held the position of chairman of the Youth Forum of the Democratic Party since December 2015.
In 2022, Belind Kellici was the most voted member of the leadership of the Democratic Party.
After Lulzim Basha’s decision to remove Sali Berisha from DP’s Parliamentary Group, FRPD and Belind Kellici joined Berisha’s ‘Pulpit’ faction.
On December 11, 2021, Belind Kellici was elected by the delegates as the leader of the National Assembly of the Democratic Party, from where Lulzim Basha was dismissed as the chairman of the DP.
During the National Assembly, DP’s Re-establishment Commission was created, whose mandate lasted until May 22, the day of the election of Sali Berisha as the president of the DP.
Kellici was part of the Reestablishment Commission. He also led the works of the National Assembly on April 30, 2022.
The 35-year-old studied management sciences at Coppin State University in the United States of America and returned to Albania in 2009.
