The Transport Association requests that the aid given by the government be extended in time.
According to them, the fuel price subsidy will keep the ticket price at current levels.
The request for government leaders is made at the stage when the second package is ending and the price of oil remains expensive in the market.
The leaders of the associations also write that they have faced difficulties this year, related to their activity and the service provided; operational problems and difficulties in retaining workers.
With these problems, they say compensation has been insufficient to influence quality growth. The letter does not talk about protests, boycotts, or ticket price increases, but requests that the government sit at the table to listen to the complaints of the transport companies.
The government approved two packages, with the value of 500 million ALL for urban and inter-city transport, paying 100 ALL for every liter of diesel consumed by buses.
