The leaders of the Western Balkans have gathered in Belgrade at the regional conference “Renewable Energy in the Balkans”.
With the participation of the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, the prime ministers of Albania, North Macedonia and Montenegro, Edi Rama, Dimitar Kovacevski and Dritan Abazovic and the chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Zoran Tegeltija, the meeting was organized by the Norwegian embassies in Belgrade and Sarajevo in cooperation with the Nordic Business Alliance, the Norway-BiH Business Association and Norwegian partners for cooperation in the field of energy.
The special envoy of the Prime Minister of Norway, Andreas Eriksen, said that the challenge is to ensure more secure energy sources in this time of uncertainty.
“I am happy to see so many different renewable energy companies from Norway sharing their knowledge on how green energy can drive the transition across the region. The efforts made now will contribute to an investor-friendly environment, and I want to thank the president for the knowledgeable people who have been brought in and to congratulate the president for his efforts to deal with these topics,” he said.
