Albanians celebrate today the 110th anniversary of the declaration of independence of the Albanian State.
The declaration of Albania’s independence was the crowning of the centuries-old efforts and tireless wars that the Albanians made for the liberation of the country.
After the declaration of Independence, on November 28, 1912, the state bodies were also formed, the armed and law enforcement forces were established, and the work on the consolidation of education, health, administration, etc. began.
The government of Vlora laid the first stones for the creation of a judicial system according to European models.
The Albanian language was announced as the official language and it was decided to open Albanian schools from the fall of 1914.
The most important legal act issued by the Provisional Government of Vlora was the “Temporary Canon of the Civil Administration of Albania”, which was published in November 1913.
Ismail Qemali proved to be the man who laid the foundations of the state on western values.
Today, Kosovo celebrates the birthday of the legendary commander Adem Jashari, whose commitment and sacrifice are at the foundation of the war for the liberation of the Albanians of Kosovo.
Adem Jashari, with his sacrifice and that of his entire family, would become an inspiration for the Kosovo Liberation Army On November 28, 1997, the first public appearance of the Kosovo Liberation Army took place.
Today, throughout Albania and Kosovo, this important day for our nation is celebrated.
