Today, on the National Day of the Diaspora, the annual meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Diaspora was held, where the head of the government, Edi Rama, was also present.
The latter talked about the fiscal amnesty where he said that the latter should have been implemented earlier as it guarantees the formalization of immigrants’ income. “The fiscal amnesty will guarantee the formalization of all income from the work of Albanians in the Diaspora. The informal economy is not only a territory of developing countries like Albania, but it is an area that also exists in developed countries. The black market, cash payments for unregistered work are a constant even in developed countries. We have reasons and opportunities to finally take this step, which has been wanted for a long time,” he said.
