The Russian paramilitary group, called Wagner, has arrived in Serbia, according to a statement by the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, for the German newspaper “Der Spigel”.

The head of the Kosovar government says that Belgrade has 48 military bases on the border with Kosovo and that the Serbian government has increased cooperation with Russia.

According to him, this cooperation also includes the arrival of Wagner’s mercenaries in Serbian territory.

Wagner has developed a notorious reputation in recent years, having been accused of war crimes in the various conflicts in which it has participated. Although it presents itself as a private military company, the group is considered a personal army of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The addition of troops to the border between the two states has been denounced by the MP of Vetevendosje, Arber Rexhaj, who points out that pro-Russian Serbs from Serbia, Montenegro and the Serbian Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina arrived in Jarinje at noon on Sunday.

The barricades placed by the Serbs in the north of Kosovo have entered the ninth day, while there is no movement for their removal. The Serbian Minister of Defense, Milosh Vucevic, has threatened that one collision is enough to set everything on fire.
