The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that the barricades in the north of Kosovo will only be removed when Kosovo forms the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority.

“First the Association of Municipalities, then we will remove the barricades”, Vucic told journalists in Azerbaijan, reports the Beta news agency.

For the creation of the Association, Kosovo and Serbia have reached two agreements within the dialogue for the normalization of relations, which is mediated by the European Union.

The authorities in Kosovo have argued that the creation of this Association would be harmful for Kosovo.

According to Vucic, Kosovo does not want to listen, but only wants to humiliate Serbia. He emphasized that the behavior of the NATO mission in Kosovo, KFOR, is fairer compared to the behavior of most Western governments.

“They [KFOR] are treating the situation seriously and responsibly,” said Vucic.

In addition, he asked for an explanation from Kosovo regarding the arrest of the former Kosovo Serb policeman, Dejan Pantic, adding that Belgrade still does not know the reason for his arrest.
