Journalist Miliam Zeka put forward a new hypothesis regarding the theft of hundreds of thousands of euros in the apartment of a former senior official Alda Klosi, by her housemaid, Rozeta Dobi.

Invited to speak on the issue, Zeka told Euronews Albania, that as an investigative journalist, he does not believe that such a large sum of money could possibly be a result of ordinary theft.

He also highlighted that this incident could involve a possible collaboration between the former official and her maid, for hiding this money.

Zeka said that the relationship between Rozeta Dobi and Alda Klosi is expected to be clarified by law enforcement bodies through further investigations related to the case.

“As a journalist who has been engaged in investigative journalism all my life, I have a few doubts of my own regarding the fact that this can’t just be considered an ordinary robbery, and that it could instead be a cooperation between the former chief of staff and the maid in question. It is not possible to steal all that money in a private house and report it so late. Exactly how plausible this collaboration between the thieving maid and the former chief of staff during Arben Ahmetaj’s mandate could be, will only be revealed with time. What I can say is that there may have been a previous collaboration between them to hide the money. The money could not have been amnestied in any way, because it is the bank that does not accept cash worth more than 10,000 euros without a document,” claimed Zeka.
