The MPs of the Parliament of Albania are expected to return to parliamentary life tomorrow.
At 16:00 on Monday, the first sitting for the fourth session of parliament will be held.
This plenum is expected to be ceremonial, where the speaker of parliament, Lindita Nikolla, will first speak, and will also do a breakdown of the last session and the challenges of the new one.
Also, the chairmen of the parliamentary groups will give their welcoming words. In this session, the procedure for the ombudsman is expected to be opened, a process that the political parties did not complete at the end of last year.
The prohibition of spies in public functions is another point expected to be examined. A matter which has passed to the special electoral reform commission. Two other initiatives that have been publicly articulated by the government are fiscal amnesty and golden passports. Both have been opposed by international organizations, but the socialist majority is determined to give life to both initiatives.
Parliament is expected to review the law on decorations, returned 2 days ago by President Begaj. In this new parliamentary session, it is expected that there will not be any debates between the two sides, a few months before the electoral race of the local elections on May 14.
