The Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku, issued a statement to the press, where she spoke about the situation after the earthquake that hit our country yesterday evening.

She said that all verifications of damaged houses will be done within 2 hours. Among other things, she emphasized that all residents who were affected by the November 26 earthquake two years ago have withdrawn the compensation money.

“All the files have been rewarded and the money has been withdrawn from the residents, except for two files that have documentation problems. The money should be used for housing and not for other family reasons Regarding what happened with last night’s earthquake, despite the fact that the law provides for 5 days, we will close the verifications within 24 hours to prevent abuses in the future,” Balluku emphasized.

She also had an appeal to the media. “I would ask the media to convey the information correctly. Reflect on the situation as it is. We will also have social service and emergency groups on the ground for the residents who are afraid,” – underlined the minister.
