Yesterday, Socialists submitted to SPAK a report with new evidence for the January 21 murders. The report was submitted by the Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, who earlier today, reiterated his call to the Special Prosecutor’s Office to urgently take under administration an alleged audio recording that has been published in the media and which is said to reflect the communication between the members of the National Guard shortly before the murders of January 21, 2011.
The report was specifically made against Sali Berisha, in the capacity of former Prime Minister, Lulzim Basha, as former Minister of the Interior, and Ndrea Prendi, as former commanders of the Guard.
In addition, yesterday, the Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana announced that it has started the verification of the material published in the media a few days ago by journalist Artan Hoxha, which mentions an audio interception of the communications of the National Guard on January 21, 2011, when 4 protesters of the opposition (Aleks Nika, Ziver Veizi, Hekuran Deda and Faik Myrtaj) were killed by the bullets fired by members of the Guard.
