Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has denied knowing Agron Neza, the former secret service agent who is under investigation by the American justice for giving a large sum of money of $225,000 dollars to the former FBI official, Charles McGonigal.

Berisha said that he knows many family members of Agron Neza, but not him personally.

Regarding an old photo of the two that was published yesterday, Berisha chose to comment saying that he does not know every person he takes a photo with.

“Revolution means the removal of this rot from the political scene and the return of free voting in this country. Agron Neza has a photo with me, but there may be 100 thousand Albanians who may have photos with me, but I don’t know all of them. I have known many of his family members, but I have not known him personally. He will make any statement to relieve himself so that he doesn’t aggravate his position because he is under investigation. This is obvious”, said Berisha.

Regarding the questioning of his son Shkelzen Berisha, as a person who has knowledge of the Gerdeci case, Berisha said that it is just an attempt by the current administration to obscure the Rama-Mcgonigal affair.

“An attempt to obscure the Rama-McGonigal affair by instrumentalizing SPAK”, said Berisha.
