84 road accidents resulting in 119 injuries occurred during the month of January 2023.

In the report of the statistics institute, we see that the majority of accidents on the road were caused by the 25-34 age group, accounting for 33.3% of the total number of accidents.

In 79.8% of cases, the driver remains at fault for the accident compared to 20.2% of the cases where the pedestrians were the ones responsible.

The experts also analyzed the distribution of accidents throughout the days of the week and the times of day, from which it was found that the majority of accidents occur on Tuesdays, accounting for 26.2% of the total number of accidents. And in terms of the time of day, 23.8% of accidents occur between 08:00 and 12:00.

In the comparison that the experts drew with January 2022, they concluded that the number of accidents decreased by 21.5%, and the behavior of pedestrians on the road was more responsible, causing accidents as a result of their mistakes to drop by 15.0%.
